This year’s Foo Fest will be super cool and exciting as usual because AS220 is just that. It all begins tomorrow, August 13th from 1PM to 1AM!
How awesome is it that you can hang, create, listen to eclectic and electronic musician Dan Deacon, shop and browse the Anarchist book fair and view a human gnome garden with a bunch of talented and just really nice people because artists are just that. Through my experience at AS220 which I’ve written about in previous RICM articles, I have found a home, a place where I feel so comfortable.
It’s a wonderful thing that Foo Fest is the perfect way to get introduced, especially if you have never been to AS220 and all the dynamic things they do for local art and artists in Rhode Island.
Neil Walsh is the main organizer of this event and as of this moment, he is spinning round and round, working his magic to prepare a perfect day.
Brian Whitney, who is in charge of AS220 Industries reiterated from their perspective that they will be running a photo booth and maker faire with various art techniques like screen printing, soldering, tattoos, button and mask making being displayed. There will be merchandise tables where you can buy locally grown art. Also, I will be with Carey Good all day printing Exquisite Corpse t-shirts. (see below)
Come down and say hello. I’m curious to meet my readers and for them to meet me, all inky and so in my element, happy to be a part of something totally hype and creative.
WHEN: Saturday, August 13th from 1PM to 1AM!
