Artist Margaret Owen presents “Summer Gardens in February: An Artist’s Painting Process” on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7pm in the Champlin Program room of the library. Owen’s slide presentation will document the course of an artist’s idea through to a finished painting. Her slides include sketches, reference photos, documentation of her garden paintings at various stages in their development as well as paintings by other artists that she has studied to inform her own work.

Pawtucket, RI – The G.I. Bazaar is pleased to announce their first annual maker’s market at Hope Artiste Village, Pawtucket, RI, Sunday, November 6, 2016, 11am-5pm. The market is the first of it’s kind in the New England area and will feature a juried selection of handmade goods from up to 50 artisans and crafters while showcasing the work of local Military Veterans and Spouses.
As befitting most operas, Queen Boudicca a Metal opera is tragic in theme and is based on actual events occurring at the beginning of the first century. And just as befitting in this courageous, creative undertaking is the multi-layered approach by Berklee College of Music Professor and native Rhode Islander; Robert E. Schlink to the telling of this little known rebellion of the Celtic population during Nero’s reign as Rome’s emperor.
Rhode Island Comic Con, the Biggest Show in the Smallest State, will celebrate their fifth anniversary November 11 through 13, at both the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Dunkin Donuts Center.
